It's holiday time! We did a performance at the Tuesday Morning Music Club of Douglaston on November 27th, and the audience loved us! In fact, we sold CD's, and gained some new fans:)
On December 18th, at 1:15, we will be performing The Gala Holiday Concert for the Douglaston Garden Club. We'll be singing Christmas favorites, a collection of both traditional Carols and jazzy holiday standards.
On December 19th, at 10AM, you can find us at The Crayon Box, a state of the art Pre-k, doing a children's holiday show. Happy Holidays!
Ed and I are so excited to once again perform our original songs at the NSAI Songwriter Showcase. It will be at the Sidewalk Café, in Manhattan, on September 30th, from 5-8:45. Come on down, have a juicy burger, a delicious drink, and relax to the music:)
And it's Fall! The air is getting cooler, the leaves will be changing colors soon. And we are starting off the Fall with many wonderful happenings! Besides our songwriter showcase, 3 of our songs were selected to be part of Bree Noble's Music With a Conscience Podcast Series, on Women of Substance Internet Radio, episodes #851, #852 and #859. The songs selected were Windows, Save a Child, and Let a Flower Grow. They are available to hear on iTunes, and Spotify.
(Not sure if you know this about us, but we perform at all kinds of venues. They include public libraries, senior care centers, pre-k schools, house concerts, and more. We have performed at restaurants, women's clubs, and we are always available for new bookings:)
Some Past Shows of Note:
We love to perform in public libraries, for intelligent listening audiences, and these are a few of our featured programs: The Feel of Brazil was a big hit, with Samba-Bossa Nova tunes everyone knows and loves. And we included a couple of originals in that style, too! The Great American Songbook includes songs from such favorite composers as Richard Rodgers, George Gershwin and so many more! And everyone loved the Broadway Showtunes performance; some got up to dance with their partners or friends as we sang! The same thing happened with the Swing Tunes program! So rewarding to share what we love to do so much:)
We did a folk music concert at the Flushing Library, and the crowd loved us! We did a combination of well known folk songs by Peter, Paul and Mary, Gordon Lightfoot, Judy Collins and so many others! We included some folk originals as well. Perfect for a family show! We were invited back there again this year, in June. We'll let you know the details as the event draws closer:)
